Block printing on Fabric with Sally James Thomas: SUNDAY 28 JUNE 26

£60.00

Sunday 28 June 2026 • 10am–3pm • Tea and coffee provided, please bring your own lunch • Limited to six participants • £60 per person to include natural inks and fabrics.

We are delighted to be able to host the very special artist printmaker Sally James Thomas who will introduce us to the joy of block printing on fabric. Firstly experimenting with found objects and then by designing, carving and printing your own lino block. You will be introduced to pattern repeats and the materials, skills and techniques required to work towards producing a sample piece in two colours.

This introductory day will give you sufficient knowledge to explore the technique independently, with minimum equipment required. Non-toxic fabric printing inks and natural fabric will be used.

Bring some ideas for simple shapes/patterns you might like to explore – or enjoy the immediacy of working with geometric shapes.

About Sally…
Sally lives and works in Pembrokeshire as an artist printmaker, and senior lecturer at Pembrokeshire College. For over 25 years Sally has exhibited throughout the UK and internationally and is currently represented by Celf Gallery, Cardiff.
