Experiments in etching I: ink transfer and drypoint etching
Tuesday 27 October • 10am–4pm • Tea and coffee provided, please bring your own lunch • Limited to six participants • £55 per person
Suitable for beginners and those more familiar with printmaking.
Join expert printmaker Theresa Pateman to learn a method to transfer images/photographs as a background and overprint with a drypoint to create atmospheric prints. Suitable for beginners. Also suitable for anyone who has previously done drypoint or copper etching and would like to learn the transfer image technique.
Please bring apron/protective clothing, drawings, sketches, photographs and any previously etched plates.

About Theresa:
Theresa is a highly-skilled printmaker and an excellent teacher of all things print. She runs her own etching studios in Kingsgate Workshops in Kilburn and teaches printmaking at Hampstead School of Art. She is a member of Southbank Printmakers artists-run gallery, Printmakers Council, and Swansea Print Workshop. She exhibits throughout the UK including the Royal Academy, Mall Galleries, and the Barbican. Her work features in collections at the V&A, Metropolitan University, Scarborough Art Gallery Archive and worldwide.
