haverford pressed in black and white

An exhibition of print at Popty Press
on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 Feb 2026
10am to 4pm

As Haverfordwest Heritage builds a home for Plas Gwasg in Temperance Hall, they have supporting printmakers to join together to showcase their creative expertise, to celebrate the town and help to publicise the project.

On show will be handmade prints that relate to the theme ‘Haverford Pressed in Black and White; an appreciation of the built and natural heritage of our town and surrounding area’.

10% commission on sales will go towards the fit-out of the community printmaking space in Temperance Hall. Visit the Haverfordwest Heritage website for more information about Temperance Hall and updates on the renovations.

WORKSHOPS

There were a series of four specialist, low-cost ‘taster’ workshops at Popty in the run-up to the submission deadline. Haverfordwest Heritage kindly subsidised these workshops so we were able to offer these places at the low price of £30 per person. We have met lots of lovely new printmakers – hello! – and have made plenty of work to show at the exhibition.

WALKING TOUR

Richard Blacklaw-Jones has kindly offered a walking tour of the town as part of the exhibition. Join us for a fascinating saunter around Haverfordwest town to see some of what has inspired the work in the ‘Haverford Pressed in Black and White’ exhibition. See details and book this free event here.
